The One Room TA anime brings one of Boys Love’s most popular webtoons to the screen.
The series follows a college student’s impulsive confession to his teaching assistant (TA), which turns into an unexpectedly fast-moving relationship.

Korean author Jibung wrote and illustrated the manhwa. It originally ran on Peanutoon before moving to Bomtoon after Peanutoon shut down in early 2025. The English version is available on Lezhin US.
The anime adaptation was announced by streaming platform Laftel, and it’s since gone from a teaser trailer to a fully released season. Here’s everything you need to know to watch it.
Where to watch the One Room TA anime
Unlike some BL webtoon-to-anime adaptations that go the pre-order/video-package route, One Room TA airs as a conventional stream. This means no pre-sale purchase is required to watch it, making it a more accessible pickup than some other BL anime releases.
In South Korea, the anime streams on Laftel, a Korean animation-focused streaming platform, as a Laftel Original.
Everywhere else, it’s available on Rakuten Viki, which carries English subtitles (plus several other languages) for viewers across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia.
On Viki, you can watch with a free, ad-supported account, or upgrade to a Viki Pass for HD streaming and an ad-free experience for a smoother viewing experience.
The series carries a 16+ rating on Viki and is filed under BL/Animation, so it’s aimed at a mature audience. That rating tracks with the show’s content, and the humor leans into fairly explicit romantic and sexual situations, so it’s not one to queue up expecting a tame slice-of-life campus story.
The anime is also available on Apple TV in select regions like the Netherlands.
Laftel’s official announcement also noted the international rollout is starting with the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia, with more markets expected to be added over time.

What is the One Room TA anime about?
One Room TA is a Boys’ Love manhwa by Jibung, combining campus romance with comedy.
The story follows college sophomore Uyun as he returns to campus and impulsively confesses to his teaching assistant, Jinhyeong — quiet, socially awkward, and, it turns out, secretly a massive BL novel and comic reader.
Three days into dating, the two end up living together in a one-room apartment, and the comedy kicks in once Jinhyeong starts trying to recreate every romantic trope he’s ever read about with his very confused, very game boyfriend.
The anime’s opening theme, “Homeostasis Collapse,” is credited to ddim, who also wrote and composed the song, with vocals from ddim and Jeon Yechan.
The manhwa has been serializing since 2022 and is still ongoing as of writing, with new chapters continuing to be released on Bomtoon alongside the anime.
It’s amassed over 7 million cumulative views, and it was named one of the Most Entertaining Books of 2024 by the Korean Publishing Culture Association.
A Japanese translation has also been running on Comic Shimoa since December 2024.
