Fans have spent years obsessed with its beautifully realistic, slow-burn storytelling, and now that patience has paid off with the official Here U Are anime adaptation.
The project was officially unveiled during Crunchyroll’s panel at Anime Expo 2026, with the streaming giant confirming it is hosting the series.

Alongside the big announcement, a teaser trailer was released to give fans their very first look at the series in motion.
Rouseact is credited as the animation studio behind the project, a name fans may recognize from its work producing promotional commercials for the Fate/Grand Order franchise.

The animated series adapts the webtoon Here U Are by D JUN, which is serialized on LINE Manga and Webtoon. Spearheading the project is director Tomoe Makino, well-known for her work on Aharen-san wa Hakarenai.
Working alongside the director are series compositor Aiki Kawamura, character designer Asami Hayakawa, and music composer Shinya Kiyozuka.

What is Boys’ Love manhua Here U Are about?

Long before it was announced for the screen, Here U Are built its legacy as a Chinese Boys’ Love (BL) manhua written and illustrated by the creator D JUN. The series first began serialization in late 2017 and ran until late 2020 through the Dongman Manhua platform.
To reach international audiences, the webtoon was later published globally on major digital platforms, including LINE Webtoon in English and LINE Manga in Japanese.
