Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga has once again proven its dominance in Japan, topping the Oricon Annual Book Ranking 2025 in the comic category.
The ranking tracks sales data in Japan compiled by Oricon from November 18, 2024, to November 16, 2025.
This is a major milestone for the series, as it has now secured the annual number one spot a staggering 15 times, setting a new all-time record for the most annual comic chart wins by a single series since Oricon began publishing the rankings in 2008.
One Piece manga tops Oricon rankings for 2025 in Japan with 1.3 million copies sold
One Piece volume 111 is the best-selling comic volume of the year, selling an impressive 1.3 million copies. Two other One Piece manga volumes released during the period also landed in the top 10, with volume 112 selling 1.2 million copies and volume 113 selling 796,155 copies.

One Piece volume 111, which was released on March 4, 2025, features the ongoing saga of the Straw Hat Pirates. It covers key plot points, including the crew’s departure from Egghead Island and the beginning of their adventures in the giant kingdom of Elbaph.
The rankings also include other popular titles like Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen, Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia, Tatsuya Endo’s Spy x Family, Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom, and Natsu Hyuuga’s The Apothecary Diaries.
