If you have been wondering how to top up in Light and Night, you are in the right place.
Light and Night is a romance RPG by Aurora Studio where you play as a fashion designer in Guangqi City, balancing your career while uncovering supernatural secrets.
Every Designer knows the feeling of being just a few Polaris short of that limited outfit or special item you have been eyeing. Running low on Polaris at the worst possible moment is something no one wants to deal with, especially when the clock is ticking on a limited-time event.
This guide covers everything you need to know about topping up in Light and Night, from how the process works to which Polaris Basic Packages give you the most value for your money.
What is topping up in Light and Night?

Topping up in Light and Night means purchasing Polaris, the game’s premium currency.
Polaris can be used to unlock exclusive outfits, items, and other in-game content that cannot be obtained through regular gameplay alone.

How to top up in Light and Night: A step-by-step guide

The good news is that topping up in Light and Night does not take long at all. Here is how to do it:
- Go to the Light and Night web shop.
- Enter your Character ID. You can find this on your in-game profile.
- If you don’t have access to your Character ID, you can also log in using a linked platform like Google, Apple, Facebook, or PlayNow associated with your Light and Night account.
- From the package list, choose your desired Polaris Basic Package.
- Choose your payment method. You can select from a variety of options, from e-wallets to credit cards.
- Click Pay Now to proceed with the payment.
- Claim your Polaris via the in-game mailbox. Your top-up is now complete!
It is important to note that you must complete Light and Night Main Chapter Stage 2-16 first to unlock the Mailbox feature before you can claim your Polaris via mail.
Which Light and Night top-up package gives the best value?
The two smallest Polaris Basic Packages, A Veil of Stars (4 Polaris) and A Handful of Stardust (10 Polaris), come with no bonus Polaris at all, making them a good choice only if you need a small, specific amount.

From A Cascade of Starlight onwards, packages start offering bonus Polaris, and the value improves significantly the higher you go.
The Eternal Aurora package offers the best value overall, giving you up to 38 bonus Polaris, which is nearly an 18% increase on top of your base amount.
If you are looking for a more moderate spend, A Sea of Stars is the next best option, offering a solid 10% bonus and the most Polaris in the mid-range.
It is also worth noting that your payment method affects how much bonus Polaris you receive. QR codes, digital wallets, and credit cards typically unlock the maximum bonus, while other payment channels may receive a different bonus amount. Be sure to check the package details on the shop for the exact breakdown in your region.
Light and Night closed beta top-up rebate

Designers who top up during the closed beta test won’t lose their investment when the test ends.
All top-ups made through the VNGGames Shop during the Light and Night closed beta period from Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 12pm SGT to Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 10pm SGT will be converted into Polaris and rebated upon the game’s official launch.
Light and Night closed beta top-up rebate rules

Your Light and Night closed beta top-up rebate is based on the total Membership Points you accumulated during the test, calculated cumulatively across three tiers.
The base conversion rate is 30 Membership Points equals 1 Polaris, with decimals rounded up to the next whole number. Higher tiers earn a higher rebate percentage on the points within that range.
| TIER | MEMBERSHIP POINTS | LIGHT AND NIGHT CLOSED BETA TOP-UP REBATE RATE |
| Tier 1 | Up to 20,000 | 200% |
| Tier 2 | 20,001 to 50,000 | 150% |
| Tier 3 | Above 50,000 | 100% |
To illustrate how this works in practice, consider a Designer who accumulates 25,000 Membership Points.
Their first 20,000 points fall under Tier 1, giving them 667 Polaris at 200%, which amounts to 1,334 Polaris.
Their remaining 5,000 points fall under Tier 2, giving them 167 Polaris at 150%, which amounts to 251 Polaris.
In total, this Designer receives a rebate of 1,585 Polaris at launch.
How to claim your Light and Night closed beta top-up rebate

Once the game officially launches, log in using the same account you used during the Light and Night closed beta test.
After successfully creating your character, you can register to receive your rebate directly through the in-game interface. Your Polaris will then be delivered to your in-game mailbox.
Do note that all game data will be wiped once the Light and Night closed beta ends, so rebates can only be claimed using the same account that was used for top-ups during the test. Top-ups made through unofficial channels or any fraudulent activity will not be eligible for rebates.
