Genshin Impact Luna VII banners (Version 6.6) were announced during the special program livestream titled “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana,” on May 8, 2026.
Players are being sent back to Sumeru in this next major update, which introduces a brand-new Archon Quest that throws the nation of wisdom into chaos as a growing crisis begins to spiral out of control.

Version 6.6 also expands the game’s roster with three new playable characters, including Nicole — the first playable member of the mysterious Hexenzirkel — alongside the knight vice-captain Lohen and the feared “Witch Hunter,” Prune.
Beyond the new story content, players can also expect fresh limited-time events and additional updates for Miliastra Wonderland.

Genshin Impact Luna VII banners – Phase 1
Nicole Reeyn is the first playable mage from the mysterious Hexenzirkel in Genshin Impact. Described as a voiceless angel whose emotions resonate directly with others, Nicole arrives as a 5-star Pyro Catalyst user focused heavily on teamwide support and coordinated damage.
Her kit revolves around empowering allies both on and off the field. Nicole’s Elemental Skill provides an ATK boost while generating a protective shield.
Meanwhile, her Elemental Burst summons an Arcane Projection that fights alongside the active character through coordinated attacks that adapt to different Elemental Types.
Under her Hexerei: Secret Rite state, these abilities become even more potent, giving her a flexible role in a variety of team compositions.
Outside of combat, Nicole also brings exploration utility by summoning a Seelie through her Charged Attack to help track down nearby treasure.
Players will additionally gain access to the interior of the Witch’s Lodge through Nicole’s new Meeting Point, “The Witch’s Garden,” where new rooms, story content, and hidden rewards will gradually unlock each week.
Version 6.6 will also add Prune, the eccentric self-proclaimed “Witch Hunter” personally certified by Alice, to the growing cast of Genshin Impact.
Joining the update as a 4-star Anemo Catalyst user, Prune fights with an unusual combination of a bell and an oversized hammer, allowing her to deal multi-element damage while triggering powerful Swirl reactions across the battlefield.

Genshin Impact Luna VII banners – Phase 2
Lohen, the Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius’ Fifth Company, arrives in Version 6.6 phase 2.
Wielding a Cryo Polearm, Lohen leans into an aggressive, momentum-driven playstyle built around two unique mechanics: “Joy” and “Will to Win.”
His combat kit revolves around entering a Masterstroke state through his Elemental Skill, allowing him to generate and spend Joy on enhanced attacks and stronger Cryo damage output.
At the same time, Will to Win steadily builds as teammates continue fighting, pushing his offensive potential even further during extended encounters.
Lohen also appears designed to synergize particularly well with Hexerei characters, giving players even more incentive to experiment with the game’s newer team archetypes.
Outside of combat, Version 6.6 will further explore his backstory through a dedicated Story Quest that uncovers a previously untold chapter in the history of the Knights of Favonius.

Genshin Impact Luna VII story and Archon Quest
Version 6.6’s biggest addition is a major new Archon Quest that throws Sumeru into one of its darkest crises yet.
As Nahida mysteriously falls into an unexplained slumber, the nation begins slipping toward chaos — and the situation only worsens with the appearance of a new enemy who bears an unsettling resemblance to Il Dottore, despite the Harbinger supposedly having already been defeated.
The escalating conflict pulls several familiar faces into the story, including Collei, Ibis King Thoth, and Nicole, as tensions across Sumeru continue to spiral.
Completing the chapter during the limited-time release window will reward players with up to 560 Primogems alongside Nicole’s Ascension Materials.
Version 6.6 also adds a new “Guiding Notes” feature that helps recap previous story events, while improved quest autosave functionality aims to make the game’s expanding narrative easier to follow.
Combat wise, a new Weekly Boss encounter built around unpredictable mechanics and devastating summons adds another major challenge for endgame players.
Genshin Impact Luna VII new event
A new limited-time event centered around Klee’s Little Hexenzirkel brings a lighter change of pace to Genshin Impact, inviting players to jump into a series of playful mini-games alongside Qiqi, Yaoyao, Sayu, and the newest addition, Prune.
By participating, players can earn a variety of rewards, including the exclusive weapon appearance “Super Awesome Magic Key.”
Elsewhere, Miliastra Wonderland is also getting its own special sports festival, adding another themed activity for players to enjoy during the update period.
The update further expands creative features as well, allowing Manekins to perform actions across Teyvat, making it easier to capture dynamic scenes with the Kamera.
On top of that, new editing tools and additional assets are being introduced, giving players even more flexibility when creating and sharing in-game moments.
