Honkai Star Rail 4.4 banners kick off in the “In Ravages Does the Whistle Sound” update, sending the Trailblazer on a search for Himeko after her mysterious disappearance.

Himeko returns to the battlefield in a brand-new form as Himeko Nova, stepping in as a 5-star Fire character on the Path of Erudition.
Her combat kit is built around deploying mech support from the very start. Himeko Nova’s Ultimate leads her teammates to pilot the mech Starblazer, unleashing a coordinated attack on enemies.
From there, deploying her Territory grants all teammates an Assist Skill, letting them summon Starblazer on demand to strike every enemy on the field. Teammates who are part of the Express Crew gain additional bonus effects on top of that, rewarding players who build around her signature crew.

Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works collaboration banners
The second phase of the Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works collaboration brings two new playable characters into Planarcadia — Rin Tohsaka and Gilgamesh.
After the Fifth Holy Grail War ends, Rin finds herself stranded in Planarcadia when her magical energy runs out. Desperate to return home, she borrows the Holy Grail from the Star Rail FEST showcase and attempts to summon a Servant, inadvertently restoring the Grail’s power and scattering Gilgamesh’s treasures across the arcadia in the process.
Rin joins the roster as a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Erudition, built around a resource called “Gem Energy.”
During battle, she gains Gem Energy and consumes it to deal multiple instances of bonus damage to a random enemy — the more she spends, the more instances she deals. Whenever teammates use or restore Skill Points, she gains even more Gem Energy while also boosting her own crit dmg.
Gilgamesh arrives as a 5-star Lightning character on the Path of Destruction, and his kit revolves around a mechanic called “Interest.”
Every time an ally takes action, Gilgamesh accumulates Interest, regenerates Energy, and increases his Ultimate’s damage. Once Interest hits its threshold, he unleashes Gate of Babylon, firing a barrage of weapons at enemies. His Ultimate, Enuma Elish, deals massive damage to all enemies on the field.

A Star That Lights the Night is Himeko Nova’s best-in-slot Light Cone.
Sparxie skin in Honkai Star Rail 4.4
Alongside her banner return, Sparxie is getting a new outfit called “Candy-Coated Waves” in version 4.4, giving Trailblazers a fresh way to customize her look on top of her existing kit.
The update also adds a new pet, “Pentaflavor Emoti,” and a new Trailblaze Fashion set called “Fan-Made Lygus,” rounding out the cosmetic additions for this patch.
How to get Gilgamesh for free in Honkai Star Rail 4.4
Trailblazers won’t have to pull for Gilgamesh to add him to their roster. Starting July 24, 2026, until version 4.6 ends, players can log into the game and claim either Gilgamesh or Archer as one of the free limited 5-star collaboration characters — no Warps required.
Along with the character itself, players will also receive a portion of the corresponding ascension and upgrade materials needed to level them up, making it easier to get either Servant combat-ready right away.
Since the guarantee counts are shared across both phases of the Collaboration Character Warps, any pulls made toward Gilgamesh or Archer will also carry over if Trailblazers decide to pull for the other collaboration characters later on.
How to get Gilgamesh’s Light Cone for free in Honkai Star Rail
Getting Gilgamesh’s signature Light Cone will take a bit more effort than claiming the character himself.
Trailblazers need to spend a total of 200 Star Rail Special Passes during version 4.4 to unlock the option to choose one free limited 5-star collaboration Light Cone — either “I Am As You Behold” or “The Hell Where Ideals Burn” — once the collaboration goes live on July 24, 2026.
As with the characters, the guarantee counts for the Collaboration Light Cone Warps are shared between both phases of the collaboration, so any progress made toward the 200-pass threshold isn’t wasted even if players choose to spend it during a later phase.
Honkai Star Rail 4.4’s story
Planarcadia’s 15 years of peace finally shatter in Honkai Star Rail version 4.4, as the true face of Lord Ravager Asat Pramad comes to light.
At the end of the previous chapter, Asat Pramad dropped his disguise to reveal his true self, plunging Planarcadia back into conflict after over a decade of calm. In the chaos that follows, Himeko vanishes during her confrontation with him — but not without leaving behind a hidden clue tied to the Express for the Trailblazer to find.
Tracking down and deciphering that clue becomes the Trailblazer’s central mission in this update, as every trail left behind points toward something Himeko never spoke of before her disappearance.
Asat Pramad’s fixation on Himeko doesn’t appear to be random, either. His obsession with her identity, paired with a buried truth from 15 years ago, may be the very thing driving his motives and the key to understanding why he’s chosen to reveal himself now.
Whether the Trailblazer can piece together the clues in time remains uncertain. Still, one thing is clear: the search for Himeko is set to end in a battle against Asat Pramad, with Planarcadia’s survival hanging in the balance.
Honkai Star Rail 4.4 events
Beyond the main storyline, Honkai Star Rail version 4.4 also rolls out a fresh batch of events tied to both the Fate collaboration and Planarcadia’s conflicts.
Fate/Star Rail Night
As the Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works collaboration story unfolds, the event “Fate/Star Rail Night” has players joining Rin Tohsaka on the hunt for Gilgamesh’s scattered treasures.
Working together, the Trailblazer and Rin gradually piece together the truth behind the mysterious Imagenae: Holy Grail War, uncovering how the King of Heroes’ treasures ended up spread across Planarcadia in the first place.
Antigraft Brickbuster
At Aventurine’s request, the Trailblazer takes on a new investigation into corruption within the IPC through the event “Antigraft Brickbuster.”
The gameplay revolves around stacking data bricks, with players sifting through evidence to expose wrongdoing inside the organization as the case unfolds.
Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game
The permanent game mode “Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game” also receives an expansion in this update, alongside additional system-wide optimizations to improve overall gameplay.
