Convergence Fest is bringing two of Riot Games’ biggest competitive communities together under one roof, combining the Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Vegas Open and the Riftbound North American Regional Championship into a single weekend-long celebration.

Rather than focusing solely on esports, Convergence Fest is designed as a festival for Riot fans, featuring major tournaments alongside community activities, developer panels, cosplay, exclusive merchandise, and opportunities to meet creators and fellow players.

Riot has also opened Fan First registration ahead of ticket sales, giving fans an early chance to secure passes before they go on sale later this year.

Convergence Fest will take place from Friday, December 11, 2026, to Sunday, December 13, 2026, in Las Vegas.

The three-day festival marks Riot’s largest combined live event to date, allowing attendees to freely move between TFT and Riftbound activities throughout the weekend while enjoying a variety of community events and live entertainment.

Teamfight Tactics and Riftbound headline the weekend

The biggest attraction at Convergence Fest is the pairing of two premier competitive events.

The TFT Vegas Open returns to the United States after a three-year absence, welcoming players from around the world for an open-bracket LAN tournament.

This year’s edition will expand to a massive 1,024-player bracket, making it the largest TFT Open yet. Competitors will battle over three days, with only one player emerging as champion.

Riftbound North American Regional Championship

Running alongside it is the Riftbound North American Regional Championship, one of the highest levels of Riftbound Organized Play.

Only players who finished among the top 64 at Regional Qualifiers will compete for the regional title and a place at the Riftbound World Championship.

Additional details regarding tournament formats and participation will be revealed closer to the event, Riot added.

More than esports: Convergence Fest schedule of events

While the tournaments take center stage, Convergence Fest has been built as a full-scale fan festival.

Throughout the weekend, attendees can:

  • Explore Artist Alley
  • Participate in side events
  • Redeem rewards at a prize wall
  • Attend developer panels
  • Watch live game shows and showmatches
  • Enjoy cosplay activities
  • Meet Riot developers and content creators
  • Shop exclusive event merchandise

Fans will also be able to move freely between casual activities and the competitive stages, ensuring there’s always something happening regardless of whether they’re competing or spectating.

Introduced in 2023, the event was created as an open-bracket LAN competition inspired by large-scale chess tournaments, giving anyone with the skill to compete alongside some of the world’s best TFT players.

Riot has since rotated the event internationally while maintaining its community-focused atmosphere, complete with side events, developer panels, and meet-and-greets.
