The Honkai Star Rail 3.8 banners are part of the latest version 3.8 update, “Memories are the Prelude to Dreams”.
Following the conclusion of the epic Amphoreus saga, the Astral Express is setting its coordinates for Penacony, the Planet of Festivities, before charting a course for its next space fantasy adventure.
This time, the planet projects an aura starkly different from previous visits, promising an exploration into untold mysteries. Trailblazers will have the chance to delve into these secrets alongside the new limited five-star character, Constance “The Dahlia.”
Honkai Star Rail 3.8 release date
Honkai Star Rail version 3.8 releases on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Unlike previous versions, 3.8 will last for eight weeks instead of the usual six, divided into three phases.

Honkai Star Rail 3.8 banners: Complete list of characters
As a central element of Penacony’s memory-hunting adventure, The Dahlia becomes a playable character. She arrives on Penacony even though her father Duke Inferno’s overarching plans were ultimately forsaken.
The Dahlia’s objective is the Remembrance, and her abilities are correspondingly aligned with that path, possessing the power to ignite and construct memories. She shares an extensive past with the Garden of Recollection and Black Swan, and it is rumored that she has become accustomed to facing betrayal.
The Dahlia, a five-star character adhering to the Path of Nihility, performs exceptionally well when paired with allies who specialize in Break DMG.
In combat, she possesses the capacity to deploy a gloomy Zone. For the duration of this Zone, any Toughness Reduction dealt by allies can activate Super Break DMG, occurring even before enemies reach a Weakness Broken state.
Furthermore, as an elegant and graceful dancer, The Dahlia designates a teammate as a “Dance Partner.” After either of the two Dance Partners attacks an enemy, they inflict an additional instance of Super Break DMG. Building upon this, her Ultimate ability applies every Dance Partner’s Type Weakness to all enemies, significantly boosting the effectiveness of Toughness Reduction.

What to expect in Honkai Star Rail version 3.8 story
Penacony, the Land of Dreams, functions as an interstellar vacation spot where travelers congregate to celebrate and enjoy themselves. In the preceding chapter, during the Charmony Festival, the members of the Astral Express successfully roused those who had succumbed to beautiful dreams, enabling them to reclaim agency over their own reality.
Nonetheless, beneath this seemingly flawless journey, many mysteries remain unresolved. Following the final battle of Amphoreus, Constance “The Dahlia” makes an unexpected appearance, disclosing that the Trailblazer’s memories are incomplete and that key elements have been pilfered. With her support and direction, the Trailblazer will endeavor to assemble a comprehensive and truthful narrative of Penacony.
In version 3.8, the Trailblazer will experience the story from Firefly’s viewpoint: charting her initial entry into the dreamscape, the circumstances of her meeting with us, and the battlefields she must confront. These questions will be systematically addressed.
As we pursue her journey, the Family’s center of power and the Dream of Gnawing Oak will also surface from the recesses of memory. Furthermore, Firefly will encounter an old comrade, someone intimately tied to her history as a Glamoth Iron Cavalry Knight.
New event in Honkai Star Rail 3.8: The Chrysos Awoo Championship
A brand-new event, “The Chrysos Awoo Championship”, commences in this version. The Trailblazer, attending as a special guest, will assume the role of a chimera trainer, guiding their own collection of chimeras to form a formidable team in the pursuit of championship victory.
Concurrently, the event “Remnants of Twilight” will also become accessible, presenting a diverse set of battle challenges that will demand strategic planning and decisive action from players.
