Genshin Impact 5.8 banners were announced during the “Sunspray Summer Resort” special program livestream today.
The update introduces a new permanent summer adventure map, Easybreeze Holiday Resort, set in Natlan, where players can enjoy a variety of vibrant and relaxing events along breezy shores.
Version 5.8 also debuts Ineffa, the first Nod-Krai character, who brings the new Lunar-Charged reactions and kicks off the prelude to the Nod-Krai storyline.

Genshin Impact 5.8 banners – Phase 1
Ineffa, a capable fighter when her combat module is activated, joins the playable roster as a 5-star Electro polearm user and introduces the all-new Lunar-Charged reaction.
When she is in the team, any Electro-Charged reaction triggered by party members is converted into a Lunar-Charged reaction. Activating this reaction summons a Thundercloud on the battlefield, continuously dealing Electro damage to enemies affected by both Electro and Hydro, with the potential for critical hits.
In combat, Ineffa can deploy a shield and summon the Multipurpose Smart Assistance Unit, Birgitta. Birgitta periodically dashes toward enemies to deal AoE Electro damage and launches an additional attack if a Thundercloud created by Lunar-Charged reactions is nearby.

All you need to know about Easybreeze Holiday Resort in Genshin Impact
Starting with Version 5.8, Travelers can explore Easybreeze Holiday Resort, a vibrant new island region off the west coast of Natlan, now open in its trial phase.
Familiar characters such as Bennett, Chasca, and Mualani return for the adventure, with Venti also making an appearance, seemingly visiting an old friend, which will be explored further in the new Story Quest, “Sunspray Summer Resort.”
The resort’s cheerful mascot, Asha, provides Travelers with special exploration abilities similar to those of the Saurians, allowing them to glide across water and hover briefly over the resort’s layered terrain. Asha and its companions are also skilled spray painters, using color to solve puzzles and uncover hidden secrets.
Beneath the resort’s sunny exterior, however, lie the mysteries of Mare Jivari, where the ageless monster Bakunawa awaits new challengers.
Hidden throughout the resort, a variety of seasonal events offer generous rewards. Travelers can earn Sunspray Spirit by guiding Kau Kau and Akamai in “Travels Are Fuller With Friends,” aiming at opponents in “Strikers Through the Storm,” joining lively music parties, or spray-painting objects as Asha.
Collecting enough Sunspray Spirit allows players to unlock exciting rewards, including the event-exclusive 4-star claymore “Flame-Forged Insight” and Bennett’s new outfit, “Adventures in Blazing Hue.”
What to expect in Genshin Impact 5.8 Archon Quest
The story of Nod-Krai begins to unfold in the new version series, Song of the Welkin Moon. In the prelude chapter, “The Journey Home,” launching in Version 5.8, Travelers will meet their first companion from the region: Ineffa, an all-purpose household robot created by the Whiz-Kid Mechanic Aino of Nod-Krai.
Together with Ineffa, Travelers embark on a journey across Natlan to uncover the secrets of her origins, mysteries that appear closely tied to the ancient dragon civilization.
New Yelan outfit
Yelan, the familiar character from Liyue, takes on a new case in Fontaine while keeping a low profile with a Fontaine-style outfit and a special photography device that captures traces invisible to the naked eye. For a limited time, Travelers can also acquire Yelan’s new outfit, “Tranquil Banquet,” at a special discount.
The summer update also introduces several system improvements. Short, cloud-streamed tutorial videos are now available on Trial and Talent screens for newly released characters, making it easier for Travelers to learn their abilities.
Quest time management has been simplified: pressing “Navigate” automatically adjusts the in-game clock to the correct time.
Improved material tracking further helps Travelers quickly identify which characters can detect local specialties in each region.
