It was officially announced by Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia during the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event held on January 25, 2026, a special fan-focused event that was hosted by Bandai Namco to celebrate the Dragon Ball franchise.
Typically, major game-related announcements, high-impact reveals, trailers, and new projects tied to the Dragon Ball universe are unveiled during Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri.
Why Dragon Ball AGE 1000 completely changes the game

The announcement confirms that the Dragon Ball universe is about to expand in an entirely new direction — one shaped directly by the imagination of Akira Toriyama himself.
Unlike previous titles, AGE 1000 introduces a completely original Dragon Ball world, filled with never-before-seen characters designed by Toriyama.
