The newly announced Dragon Ball Sparking Zero DLC is giving fans plenty to get excited about.
Dropped during the Genkidamatsuri event by Bandai Namco, the new DLC promises to expand the experience with additional characters, fresh costumes, new stages, and gameplay updates, with even more surprises planned for future reveals.

Everything we know about the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero DLC so far
Among the first confirmed fighters are:
- Super 17
- Bardock (Super Saiyan)
- King Piccolo
Additional characters are in the works for future announcements.
Beyond roster expansions, players can also expect fresh costumes and battle arenas designed to enhance the game’s high-energy combat.
Adding to the excitement, the DLC’s theme song will be written and performed by legendary Dragon Ball artist Hironobu Kageyama. This marks his first contribution to the Sparking series in 18 years, with Kageyama handling both lyrics and composition.
The new track is expected to be a powerful anthem that perfectly complements the intense battles of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
The first new mode arriving alongside the updates is “Mission 100,” launching as a free update. This solo-focused mode features 100 battles with fixed conditions for both player and enemy teams, drawing inspiration from a similar fan-favorite mode in Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
Another free update, scheduled for release this spring, will introduce a Survival Mode that challenges players to endure continuous battles.
The DLC content will roll out this summer for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions will begin receiving DLC from the Season Pass starting this winter, with additional content planned for later release.
