Phase 1

Leading the new Season 3 roster is Velina, the Administrative Director of the ESD and Zenless Zone Zero’s first-ever Wind-attribute Agent.

As an S-Rank Anomaly specialist, she excels at building up Wind Anomaly on enemies and inflicting the unique Windswept state.

When combined with another Attribute Anomaly, Windswept can trigger a powerful Vortex reaction that deals area-of-effect damage based on the secondary attribute, creating new team-building possibilities for Anomaly-focused compositions.

Velina becomes even stronger when paired with other Anomaly Agents or allies that share her attribute, making her a character with significant long-term potential as the roster continues to grow.

Joining Velina in Season 3 is Norma, an S-Rank Fire-attribute Stun Agent who serves as the ESD’s Chief Technician and a key figure within the Marcel Group’s technology division.

Her unique playstyle centers around her signature hat, which steadily builds up Preheated Chamber even while she is off the field, allowing her to contribute consistently throughout battles.

Once enough energy has been accumulated, Norma can transform teammates’ Quick Assists into Chain Attacks, opening up additional opportunities for powerful combo sequences across the team.

Beyond its new characters, Zenless Zone Zero Season 3 introduces Roscaelifer, a sprawling sky island packed with secrets, activities, and interactive systems.

Players can visit unique locations such as Roarin’ Brekkies, which hands out a random cookie each day, or the hidden Spotlight Theater, where Bangboo take center stage in every performance.

The city also hides a mysterious sky bus with a secret route that can only be unlocked under specific conditions.

Exploration is further enhanced through the new Universal Terminal system, allowing Proxies to access surveillance cameras for reconnaissance, conduct scans from a first-person perspective, and deploy drones alongside Eous during missions.

Meanwhile, the Scamall Hollow area introduces high-speed traversal via the Aerial Transit system, with Pyrois’ spatial abilities playing a crucial role in navigating its challenges.

Players may also encounter unpredictable Singularity Leakages that alter environments and puzzle mechanics through overlapping dimensions, requiring Pyrois’ unique powers to restore order.

To encourage exploration, the new Interboo collection system tracks discoveries made across Roscaelifer and rewards players with Polychromes and other valuable items as they progress.

What to expect in Zenless Zone Zero 3.0 main story

In Version 3.0’s main story, the Proxies are called to Roscaelifer after a surge of unstable Ether energy once again begins to affect their bodies.

At the invitation of the Mayor of New Eridu, they enter the island under the guise of transfer students, with ESD Administrative Director Velina acting as their guide.

As they settle into life on Roscaelifer, they slowly uncover the truth behind a hidden power within them known as Pyrois.

However, tensions on the island are already running high. Growing controversy surrounding ESD’s Bangboo chip technology escalates as a series of unexplained Bangboo self-destruction incidents sparks widespread panic.

At the same time, abnormal Ether fluctuations begin spreading through the Energy Hub’s Hollows, while the shadow of the first-generation Void Hunter, Remielle Dan, resurfaces within the city. Beneath the surface of Roscaelifer’s calm skies, a far greater crisis is quietly beginning to unfold.
