The long-awaited One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 release date has finally been revealed, marking the return of Luffy and his crew for another action-packed adventure.

You can soon relive the thrill of the pirate life as the adventure hack-and-slash game One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 arrives in new-generation consoles.

The updated version offers enhanced visuals and smoother performance for sharper action and an overall improved player experience.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 release date revealed for Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S

The One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 release date is set for November 20, 2025 for Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Both the previous and new versions continue to receive updates and additional content after launch.

Players who already own the game on Switch, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One receive a free upgrade.

Switch 2 players get new options for One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. The Ultimate and Legendary Editions bundle the main game with character packs and extra episodes, and both can be upgraded to the Switch 2 version.

It is also important to note that online and local co-op play between the original Switch and Switch 2 are not supported.

New One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 DLC: Future Island Egghead Pack

A day after the new version’s release, the Character Pack 7 “Future Island Egghead Pack” launches on November 21, 2025.

Inspired by the Egghead arc, the DLC adds Rob Lucci (CP0), S-Snake (Seraphim), and Jewelry Bonney (Bonney Pirates) as new playable characters, along with three exclusive outfits from the arc.

Character Pack 8, a follow-up DLC featuring Enel, King, and Z, is planned for early 2026.

Koei Tecmo is also offering Character Pass 3, which gives players access to all six characters from both character packs, as well as a bonus featuring Shanks’ additional special move, “Divine Departure.”

Developed by Koei Tecmo Games, One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 lets players relive action-packed moments from the One Piece series, controlling the Straw Hat Crew and other fan favorites as they take on waves of enemies in battles.

The first One Piece Pirate Warriors game launched in 2012 for PlayStation 3. It covered the early arcs of the anime, from the East Blue Saga through the Marineford War, and introduced players to Musou-style combat in the One Piece universe.

The series has sold millions of copies worldwide and remains one of the most popular One Piece game franchises.
