Wondering when is Oshi no Ko season 3 coming out? The official release date has now been confirmed.

Animation studio Doga Kobo has revealed through a teaser video that the Oshi no Ko season 3 release date is set for Winter 2026.

Season 3 focuses on Ruby Hoshino as she steps into the spotlight and builds her career in the entertainment industry. While pursuing her dream of becoming an idol, she continues to search for the truth behind her mother Ai Hoshino’s murder.

The Oshi no Ko season 3 release date is scheduled for January 14, 2026.

In the preview video, Ruby appears as the host of a variety show titled Dig Deep! One Chance, while her brother Aqua Hoshino joins as a panelist. The teaser also shows the growing tension in the love triangle between Aqua, Kana Arima, and Akane Kurokawa, along with the anime debut of Shun Yoshizumi, the Assistant Director for Dig Deep! One Chance.

Doga Kobo also released a key visual for season 3, featuring B-Komachi idol group members Ruby, Kana, and Mem-Cho, alongside actors Aqua and Akane.

Oshi no Ko season 3 covers the Mainstay arc from the manga, where the Hoshino twins uncover dark secrets about the true identity of their father.

The Oshi no Ko story revolves around twins Aqua and Ruby, who are reborn as the children of a popular idol, Ai, after her untimely death. As they grow up, Ruby pursues her dream of stardom while Aqua investigates the dark secrets surrounding their mother’s life and death. The series explores the highs and lows of the entertainment industry.

It is created by Aka Akasaka, who is also known for the popular series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. Illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, the manga began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump on April 23, 2020. The story draws inspiration from Japan’s entertainment industry, following idol culture and the lives of those affected by fame.

The Oshi no Ko manga ran for 166 chapters, compiled into 16 volumes, and officially concluded on November 14, 2024.
