ZZZ and Marvel team up in a limited collaboration, giving Zenless Zone Zero characters a superhero makeover. In partnership with Marvel, the world’s leading comic book company, HoYoverse is releasing custom Xbox consoles and artworks that showcase the main factions in ZZZ.
The ZZZ and Marvel collab commemorate “an incredible 2025 for Zenless Zone Zero.” The game wrapped up season 1, launched season 2 as its second major update, and reached its one-year anniversary, all in 2025.
Zenless Zone Zero characters receive comic book treatment in ZZZ and Marvel collaboration
The artists’ designs appear on five Xbox Series X consoles made for this release, with each artist handling a different illustration and art style for the ZZZ and Marvel collab.
Iban Coello creates a black and white illustration of the ZZZ ensemble, Luciano Vecchio on Cunning Hares, Alberto on Sons of Calydon, Federico Vicentini on Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, and Gerardo Sandoval on Victoria Housekeeping Co.
The artworks for the factions are divided into three sections, showcasing its members, a solo illustration, and a three-panel comic based on the events from the story quests.
These consoles are set to release for US-based players at a later date. HoYoverse will share more details on their social media accounts as the launch approaches.
The ZZZ and Marvel collab feels fitting for the series because the main story uses a comic-style format in many scenes. Panels, captions, and bold visual cues are part of the narrative, so the transition to official Marvel art feels natural for fans.
This is the first time ZZZ collaborates with Marvel, one of the biggest names in global entertainment.

Zenless Zone Zero has worked with brands like Razer, McDonald’s, and Fanta, giving players in-game items and Polychromes.
Zenless Zone Zero is an action-adventure role-playing game developed by Hoyoverse. It is the third biggest title by the video game company after their flagship adventure game, Genshin Impact, and their turn-based strategy title, Honkai Star Rail. As a mainstream franchise, ZZZ has millions of downloads worldwide.
It is set in a futuristic urban world where players take on the role of Proxies and Agents battling mysterious creatures called Ethereals through fast-paced combat and team-based strategies.
The game was officially released in July 2024 and features a mix of story-driven missions, character progression, and faction-based gameplay, combining combo-based mechanics with comic-style storytelling and stylish visuals.
This isn’t the first time a HoYoverse game has partnered with a brand. The company has run collaborations for all its major titles, including Genshin Impact with KFC, Honkai Star Rail with Sushiro, and others.
