The 7th Anniversary celebration event for Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 kicks off on 1pm SGT on Thursday, July 31, 2025, Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia announced.
It features a wide range of special campaigns and introduces the iconic Crossbone Gundam X1 Kai as a new playable Mobile Suit.
To thank dedicated pilots worldwide for their support, the anniversary celebration includes massive in-game bonuses. Players can participate in the Crossbone Gundam X1 Kai Guaranteed STEP UP Lottery and enjoy a max 80-shot free lottery that guarantees 4 Mobile Suits of at least 2-star rarity every week.
Crossbone Gundam X1 Kai joins Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2
Headlining the 7th Anniversary celebrations, the powerful Crossbone Gundam X1 Kai will be introduced to Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 as the first new Mobile Suit.
Available from 1pm SGT on Thursday, July 31, 2025, this 5-star ground/space unit has a Cost of 750, marking the game’s shift in storyline focus from Mobile Suit Gundam F91 to Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam.
The Crossbone Gundam X1 Kai boasts the unique skill Max Output (K), which greatly enhances its melee capabilities by increasing its Attack and Speed parameters, boosting its high-speed movement, lowering thruster consumption, and changing its weapon attributes.
To guarantee players can acquire this new unit, a Crossbone Gundam X1 Kai Guaranteed STEP UP Lottery starts on the same day. Pilots are guaranteed to obtain the X1 Kai in STEP 7 along with the special upgrade part “Type beta LV1.”
By reaching STEP 10, players are guaranteed another Mobile Suit, a 4-star Mobile Suit, and the bonus avatar item, X1 Kai Headgear.
Free lottery with up to 80-Shot gacha now available
To celebrate, Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 is holding a free lottery featuring all previously released Mobile Suits and weapons, with the chance to perform up to an 80-shot gacha.

New and Returning Pilots welcome campaign
A special campaign is now live for new pilots—those who started playing Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 within the last 14 days—and returning pilots who haven’t logged in for over 45 days.
During the “New and Returning Pilots Welcome Campaign,” EXP and DP rewards are boosted to 50 times their normal amounts, and CP rewards are increased to 10 times the usual amount. On top of that, search units are guaranteed to find a Container every third battle.
These bonuses also extend to any pilots accompanying new or returning players.
