The 2026 content roadmap for Marvel Rivals, headlined by the Marvel Rivals: Path to Doomsday event series and a teaser for Marvel Rivals Season 7, was announced by NetEase Games and Marvel Games.
Announced during the Marvel Rivals Assemble fan event, Marvel Rivals: Path to Doomsday features a cycle of special events and game modes inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, culminating in a massive December update tied to the theatrical release of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026.
Marvel Rivals Season 7 and 2026 roadmap: Path to Doomsday
The roadmap kicks off a year-long celebration of the Avengers’ legacy. Starting in April and running through October, players experience limited-time modes and events themed after iconic films, ranging from the original Marvel Studios’ The Avengers to Avengers: Endgame.

This nostalgic journey serves as the buildup to the game’s transition into the Doomsday era at the end of the year.
A major highlight of the announcement is a brand-new, asymmetric 1v6 game mode. In this special fight mode, one player takes on the role of Loki, wielding a unique skill set powered by the Infinity Stones to manipulate, deceive, and mind-control a team of six opposing heroes.
To even the odds, the team of six can summon the Hulk under specific conditions to recreate the legendary puny god dynamics from the big screen.

A new Loki costume tied to this mode was also revealed alongside two new skins, including Psylocke: Once-Captive Corsair and Captain America: Cursed Captain.
Looking ahead to Marvel Rivals Season 7, developers dropped a cryptic teaser centered on a mission in New York City.
The update suggests a partnership between a thief and an agent, warning players to “watch their wallets,” a hint that has the community speculating on the arrival of fan-favorite street-level characters.

Originally released on December 6, 2024, Marvel Rivals is a fast-paced, 6v6 Super Hero team-based PVP shooter developed by a global team at NetEase Games.
Players select from an expansive roster of Marvel characters categorized into three distinct roles of Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist.
Marvel Rivals is free to play on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
