Magic Chess Season 5 invites players to step off the chessboard and into GOGO MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), a limited-time mode that reimagines familiar terrain in a more dynamic format.
Players can choose from multiple commanders and navigate a newly reworked map designed to encourage exploration and mobility.
A standout feature of GOGO MOBA is its unique jump mechanic, which allows commanders to leap across walls and environmental elements. This introduces a fresh layer of movement-based strategy, enabling faster rotations, unexpected engagements, and new tactical decisions.
By blending MOBA-style traversal with MCGG’s core identity, GOGO MOBA offers a distinct way to experience the game during Magic Chess Season 5.
Go Go Plaza: A social hub for chess masters
Beyond competitive play, Go Go Plaza debuts as a vibrant social hub where players can connect and unwind. Taking control of their favourite commander, players can freely roam the plaza, encounter other chess masters, and engage in a variety of social interactions.
Features include greeting others using Battle Emotes, taking photos with new friends, and boarding a team train to explore the plaza together.
Moonton Games has also confirmed that future updates will expand Go Go Plaza with interactive elements, seasonal decorations, and team-based mini-games, reinforcing its role as a shared space for community-building within MCGG.
Golden Month Kitchen: A brand new mini-game experience
Season 5 also introduces MCGG’s first-ever cooking mini-game as part of the Golden Month campaign, launching on 17 February, 2026.
Players can don their chef hats and take part in a limited-time experience where they collect ingredients to complete the Golden Month menu.
By successfully finishing the menu, players can earn Zilong’s new Special skin for free, making the mini-game both a fun diversion and a rewarding seasonal activity.
