Love and Deepspace’s Sylus voice actor had Hunters doing double takes after appearing in a soon-to-be released audiobook titled “The End Unseen” by American author Ariel Anderson.

The preview of the audiobook was first released on February 16, 2026 on the author’s Instagram page. Within days, listeners began pointing out the unmistakable tone and delivery that makes Sylus such a standout in the otome game, sparking discussions across social media.

Dark romantic tragedy “Under Your Scars” author Ariel Anderson is releasing a new book that tells the tale of Val-Theris and Jesenia.

“Jesenia is a strong and proud citizen of the tiny, neutral land of Lunareth. Val-Theris is an Angel-like god and the King of Seraveth, a country too proud to see its flaws. What will happen when fate pushes them together, but prophecy and cruelty try to tear them apart?” Anderson teased the plot of “The End Unseen” on her Instagram post.

In the same post, she attached a preview of the audio book. Listeners quickly noticed a very familiar voice narrating the book — one that closely matches the tone of Love and Deepspace’s Sylus voice actor.

“I just wanted to come on here and say hello to all the new people that are taking interest, let’s say, in my upcoming books. I really appreciate all the love and support that I’m getting. And, you know, I would say 99.99999% of people have been very kind and respectful, but there’s a couple of people that take issue with some things that are happening and I don’t want this to turn into a reason for any drama to start, so I turned off the comments of a couple of my posts just temporarily. I’m going to put them back up in about a day of two,” Anderson said in her Instagram story posted on February 20, 2026.

She continued: “I think I was not prepared for the amount of attention that post was going to get. Of course I was excited, and of course I knew that the voice actors that I picked were the perfect people for the roles. But sometimes the downside of your post going viral is that you’re not really expecting the overwhelming amount of comments.”

“And I don’t mean the hate comments at all, I just mean the overwhelming amount of comments. I can’t even keep up with notifications. My Instagram has not even been loading. I’ve had to address a lot of misinformation that’s happening.”

The author made a final update on Instagram stories and in a post that she had not only turned off comments on The End Unseen posts, she is also taking a temporary break from social media for a few days.

X user @xmiisuki shared further details on her exchange with the author.

In their chat, Anderson said that the audiobook project “has been in works for months now,” and that she reached out to the voice actor last year. She also confirmed that the voice actor will be credited under his real name for this project.

“I can understand everyone’s fear, but he would not take a role for a small indie author like me if it was going to put his larger roles in jeopardy,” Anderson replied. She even shared a screenshot of her email to the voice actor asking if he would be interested to audition for her upcoming book.

In all her statements, Anderson never confirmed that the narrator of her audiobook The End Unseen is the voice of Sylus.

It’s also worth nothing that Infold Games, the game developers of Love and Deepspace, have yet to officially reveal the English voice actors behind its male leads — Sylus, Zayne, Xavier, Rafayel, and Caleb — despite the game being two years old.

While the male leads’ voice actors in Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean are publicly available, the English voice actors remain undisclosed.

What we do know is that in Anderson’s email to the voice actor, she highlighted that he hasn’t done audiobook recording before this project, and that he would “be incredibly well received in this space.”

Despite the secrecy, keen fans speculate that the Sylus voice actor — and the narrator of The End Unseen — is Jimmie Yamaguchi, also known for Hugo in Zenless Zone Zero, Zilong in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Yasho in Riot Games’ 2XKO.

The audiobook edition of The End Unseen will be available for pre-order on April 21, 2026, ahead of its official release on April 28, 2026.

As of writing, the audiobook page is not yet live. Fans can bookmark Anderson’s linktree page to stay updated.
