Updated on February 13, 2026 at 9:57pm: Added more information from the livestream.

Genshin Impact Luna V banners (Version 6.4) were announced during the Luna V special program livestream titled “Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind” today on February 13, 2026.

This update evokes memories of early adventures with Paimon, Venti, and the Knights of Favonius. However, this homecoming quickly proves to be more than a simple trip down memory lane.

Strange distortions begin appearing across Mondstadt. Familiar landmarks look altered, statues seem different, and even unusual enemies such as Fungi are spotted where they normally shouldn’t be.

These anomalies suggest that something deeper is at play beneath the surface of what appears to be a celebratory return. The tone shifts from warm nostalgia to quiet unease, hinting that the peace of Mondstadt is once again under threat.

On the battlefield, Varka introduces a unique and highly dynamic combat style centered around dual-wielding.

He fights with two weapons simultaneously, using Favonius Bladework to unleash relentless, flowing attacks. His left-hand weapon remains consistently infused with Anemo, while the right-hand weapon adapts its Elemental damage type based on the elements present in his party.

This allows him to deal two types of Elemental DMG at once, making him exceptionally versatile in team compositions.

His Elemental Skill places him into a powerful Sturm und Drang state, during which he channels the strength of his allies and enhances his attacks.

Chronicled Wish returns in Genshin Impact Luna V

Chronicled Wish returns in Genshin Impact Luna V , featuring six Mondstadt characters and many more weapons.

How does the Chronicled Wish banner work?

Chronicled Wish is a limited-time event banner that brings back older five-star characters and weapons in a single, curated pool.

Unlike the usual character or weapon event banners that focus on one featured item, this system lets players choose a specific five-star character or weapon as their designated target before wishing.

If you select a character, all five-star pulls from that banner will be characters; if you select a weapon, they will be weapons instead.

It follows the standard pity system, guaranteeing a five-star within 90 wishes, with a 50% chance that it will be your chosen item. If you lose that initial chance, you earn a Fate Point, which guarantees your selected item on the next five-star pull during the same banner period.

However, while pity carries over between Chronicled Wish runs, Fate Points reset when the banner ends.

Genshin Impact Luna V story

The central conflict of Luna V unfolds across both Mondstadt and Nod-Krai as the Wild Hunt reemerges in full force.

A new disaster begins sweeping through Mondstadt, threatening its stability and placing Andrius in grave danger. At the same time, the Wild Hunt resurfaces in Nod-Krai under the command of the Bloodstained Knight, revealing that the threat is far from contained.

This dual-front crisis forces the Traveler and Varka to act swiftly. With his expeditionary force returning to the forefront, Varka leads the charge against the encroaching chaos.

The Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius’ 5th Company, Lohen, joins the effort, strengthening Mondstadt’s defensive response. Meanwhile, a new boss emerges in Nod-Krai, providing crucial ascension materials tied to Varka’s growth.

As the Wild Hunt spreads and long-buried histories involving wolves, Boreas, and ancient legacies resurface, the stakes grow higher than ever.

What began as a nostalgic homecoming transforms into a battle to protect Mondstadt once more — not just from external enemies, but from the echoes of its own forgotten past.
