The second phase of the Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works collaboration brings two new playable characters into Planarcadia — Rin Tohsaka and Gilgamesh.

After the Fifth Holy Grail War ends, Rin finds herself stranded in Planarcadia when her magical energy runs out. Desperate to return home, she borrows the Holy Grail from the Star Rail FEST showcase and attempts to summon a Servant, inadvertently restoring the Grail’s power and scattering Gilgamesh’s treasures across the arcadia in the process.

Rin joins the roster as a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Erudition, built around a resource called “Gem Energy.”

During battle, she gains Gem Energy and consumes it to deal multiple instances of bonus damage to a random enemy — the more she spends, the more instances she deals. Whenever teammates use or restore Skill Points, she gains even more Gem Energy while also boosting her own crit dmg.

Gilgamesh arrives as a 5-star Lightning character on the Path of Destruction, and his kit revolves around a mechanic called “Interest.”

Every time an ally takes action, Gilgamesh accumulates Interest, regenerates Energy, and increases his Ultimate’s damage. Once Interest hits its threshold, he unleashes Gate of Babylon, firing a barrage of weapons at enemies. His Ultimate, Enuma Elish, deals massive damage to all enemies on the field.

How to get Gilgamesh for free in Honkai Star Rail 4.4

Trailblazers won’t have to pull for Gilgamesh to add him to their roster. Starting July 24, 2026, until version 4.6 ends, players can log into the game and claim either Gilgamesh or Archer as one of the free limited 5-star collaboration characters — no Warps required.

Along with the character itself, players will also receive a portion of the corresponding ascension and upgrade materials needed to level them up, making it easier to get either Servant combat-ready right away.

Since the guarantee counts are shared across both phases of the Collaboration Character Warps, any pulls made toward Gilgamesh or Archer will also carry over if Trailblazers decide to pull for the other collaboration characters later on.

How to get Gilgamesh’s Light Cone for free in Honkai Star Rail

Getting Gilgamesh’s signature Light Cone will take a bit more effort than claiming the character himself.

Trailblazers need to spend a total of 200 Star Rail Special Passes during version 4.4 to unlock the option to choose one free limited 5-star collaboration Light Cone — either “I Am As You Behold” or “The Hell Where Ideals Burn” — once the collaboration goes live on July 24, 2026.

As with the characters, the guarantee counts for the Collaboration Light Cone Warps are shared between both phases of the collaboration, so any progress made toward the 200-pass threshold isn’t wasted even if players choose to spend it during a later phase.

Honkai Star Rail 4.4’s story

Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game

What is HoYoFEST?

HoYoFEST is an annual regional event organized by HoYoverse, the publishers themselves, for the fans.

Focused primarily on Southeast Asia, it brings together players from across its game ecosystem through themed booths, interactive exhibits, merchandise, and live performances.

Since its debut, HoYoFEST has grown from a smaller-scale fan gathering into a major multi-country event, reflecting the rising popularity of HoYoverse titles in the region.

Each year introduces new features—from expanded Artist Alley spaces to more structured stage programming—while continuing to emphasize community-driven experiences.

With HoYoFEST 2026 happening once again across six countries, the event continues to position itself as one of Southeast Asia’s biggest celebrations of gaming fandom and fan creativity.

The Honkai Star Rail 4.1 banners are part of the latest version 4.1 update, “Unraveled for Daybreak.”

The update introduces a new five-star character, Ashveil, alongside several reruns and their signature Light Cones. The broadcast also teased upcoming gameplay additions, including a revamped Divergent Universe mode, new Planar Ornaments, and limited-time rewards for players.

Version 4.1 runs for six weeks, with the story continuing to unfold in Planarcadia as the Astral Express crew receives an invitation to the grand Star Rail FEST, a fan celebration inspired by their past interstellar adventures.

While the festival promises excitement and nostalgia, trouble is never far behind. Beneath the festivities, hidden conspiracies begin to surface, setting the stage for new challenges. As events spiral beyond the celebration, players will embark on a fresh adventure alongside the renowned detective Ashveil.

As usual, the update features two banner phases, giving players multiple chances to pull for new characters and Light Cones.

Phase 1

As a central figure in the latest chapter, Ashveil will officially join the roster as a playable character. Known as the “detective unreliable,” he usually presents a laid-back and lazy demeanor, but this stage will reveal his serious and dependable side.

At the conclusion of the previous story, Ashveil entered the Phantasmoon Games to investigate a murder in Dovebrook District. Now, he will continue working alongside the Astral Express Crew to uncover the hidden conspiracies beneath the festival’s celebration and bring justice for the fallen.

His combat style centered on bait mechanics and follow-up attacks. Overall, his kit revolves around designating an enemy as a target and punishing opponents with repeated attacks whenever allies engage that target.

Core mechanics

Ashveil selects a “bait” target on the battlefield.

• Enemies suffer reduced defense while the bait remains active.
• Using his skill on the same target deals additional damage and restores skill points for the team.

This mechanic encourages players to focus fire on a single enemy while benefiting from extra damage and resource generation.

Follow-up attacks

Whenever an ally attacks the designated bait target, Ashveil automatically performs follow-up attacks, allowing him to chain damage repeatedly during combat.

These follow-ups are a key part of his playstyle, enabling him to continuously pressure enemies and potentially defeat multiple targets in quick succession.

Gluttony stacks

Ashveil also builds a resource called Gluttony stacks during battle.

• These stacks accumulate as combat progresses.
• When he uses his Ultimate, the stacks are consumed to enhance the power of his follow-up attacks.

This mechanic lets him ramp up damage over time before unleashing stronger attacks during key moments.

Technique

Ashveil’s Technique allows him to daze enemies in an area before combat begins, giving players an advantage when initiating battles.

Hoping to celebrate the spirit of Trailblazing and bring the people of Planarcadia closer to the legacy of the Astral Express, CEO Pearl announces a grand exhibition known as Star Rail FEST, themed around the crew’s legendary interstellar adventures.

As the long-awaited festival prepares to open its doors, the Phantasmoon Games continue to escalate in the background, with tensions building toward the looming War of the Supplicants — leaving the future of the story uncertain.

As a grand celebration of the Astral Express’ legendary journeys, Star Rail FEST will open three major zones:

• Belobog Zone
• Xianzhou Luofu Zone
• Penacony Zone

Citizens of Planarcadia can board a special Pom-Pom front shuttle via Interplanar Jump to relive the highlights of the trailblazer’s adventures.

Visitors can marvel at giant balloon figures of Supreme Guardian Cocolia and the Destruction Engine in action, experience the thrilling duel against Lord Ravager Phantylia at Scalegorge Waterscape, and charge into The Great Septimus battle accompanied by Robin’s live performance.

Meanwhile, as the festival’s host, Pearluxe Tower, headquarters of Pearluxe Corp, will also open for exploration. Inside, attendees can check out the newly unveiled ultra-poseable model “Alloy King Pom-Pom” and enjoy a variety of mechatron-themed interactive activities designed for fans of all ages.

Honkai Star Rail 4.1 new event, the Wispae War Saga

You can engage in an entirely fresh activity this version 4.1: the Wispae War Saga.

Here, the Trailblazer can command a variety of wispae soldiers in battles within Graphia Academy.

By deploying different strategies, upgrading wispae, and utilizing spell cards and capsules with unique effects, players can overcome powerful champions and unlock new wispae companions.

Beyond the standard challenge rewards, completing battles in Graphia Academy opens the door to tougher matches against outsider adversaries, offering a deeper and more varied gameplay experience.

Honkai Star Rail 4.1 new Planar Ornaments

Two new Planar Ornament sets will arrive in version 4.1:

• Punk Lord: Stage Zero
• City of Converging Stars

These can be obtained while completing runs in the Divergent Universe.

Divergent Universe: Arcadian Chronicles

Version 4.1 will introduce an updated version of the Divergent Universe mode called Arcadian Chronicles.

Key changes include:

• Rooms are converted into cards that players can choose between.
• Progression becomes more player-driven instead of fully random.
• Players can select a Mask of Elation at the start of a run.

The mask accumulates Wish Power, leveling up over time to grant bonuses such as buffs to upcoming domains, upgraded waypoint passes, and improved rewards.

In this guide, we’ll dive deep into the data bank records and character dialogues to settle the confusion. We’ll explore the origins of the Ever-Burning Star, the role of the IPC in planetary rebranding, and finally answer the question, is Edo Star Benzaitengoku, or is there a bigger mystery waiting to be uncovered?

What is Benzaitengoku?

In the world of Honkai Star Rail, Benzaitengoku is known as a legendary paradise of entertainment and culture.

The name comes from Japanese mythology, combining “benzaiten” (the goddess of music and words) and “tengoku” (meaning heaven). Together, the name literally means a “Heavenly Place of Arts.” Because it is a world where creativity has reached its peak, it is a very important place for followers of The Elation.

Many ancient records found on the Herta Space Station and the Xianzhou Luofu call Benzaitengoku the “Ever-Burning Star.” They describe it as a glowing planet that acts as a lighthouse for artists and scholars across the galaxy.

The planet has a chaotic history. It was originally created by Aha, the Aeon of Elation, as a giant stage for performers. The world centered around a living moon where grand games were held. Those who won these games were given divine power by the Aeon of Elation.

The planet’s golden age almost ended in total destruction. During the expansion of the Antimatter Legion, the army of Destruction swept through the area and burned everything.

Benzaitengoku was only saved by a miracle when an artist captured the entire world within a painting scroll. This kept the people and their culture safe within a flat, two-dimensional world while the real planet burned to ashes.

Years later, survivors tried to rebuild their home. This was made possible by the Interastral Peace Corporation (IPC), which used advanced technology to pull the world out of the painting and back into reality.

After the IPC provided the technology and money to restore the planet, they officially changed the name of Benzaitengoku to Planarcadia.

For Trailblazers, Benzaitengoku is most important because it is where the Astral Express once crashed and was abandoned for a long time. It wasn’t until Himeko found the train and repaired it that the journey of the Express officially restarted.

Is Edo Star Benzaitengoku? Are Edo Star and Benzaitengoku the same?

With so many legendary planets in the cosmos, many players find themselves asking, “Is Edo Star Benzaitengoku?” While both worlds share themes of art and music, the short answer is no. They are two entirely different planets with distinct histories in the Honkai Star Rail universe.

Edo Star is a planet nestled within a vast ion storm. It first gained major attention during the Penacony questline while the crew was trapped in Ena’s Dream. Pom-Pom listed it as a potential next destination, noting that it was under assault by the Antimatter Legion.

While the IPC initially requested the Trailblazers to investigate because distress signals had ceased, it was later revealed in the Amphoreus missions that Edo Star managed to repel the Legion and has since entered a temporary lockdown.

On the other hand, Benzaitengoku is the former name of Planarcadia. It is a world tied deeply to Aha and the Path of Elation. It is famous for being saved within a painting and later restored by the IPC.

So, is Edo Star Benzaitengoku? Definitely not. Edo Star is known for its houses of music and ancient ballads, while Benzaitengoku (now Planarcadia) is an IPC asset planet known for its entertainment and culture.

What happened to Edo Star in Honkai Star Rail?

While the mystery of “Is Edo Star Benzaitengoku?” has been settled, many players are still wondering what actually happened to Edo Star. As of writing, Edo Star is inaccessible to the Astral Express.

While Edo Star successfully repelled the Antimatter Legion, the IPC placed the entire world under a temporary lockdown. With distress signals silenced and the borders closed, there is no way for the Express to make a stop there.

Rather than attempting to brave the dangerous ion storms to reach a locked-down Edo Star, the crew of the Astral Express decided to pivot toward Planarcadia. Following the grueling events in Amphoreus, the Express was in desperate need of a highly developed world to restock essential supplies.

As a thriving asset planet under the IPC, Planarcadia offered the perfect infrastructure for the crew to refuel and replenish their resources for the journey ahead.

The specific suggestion to visit Planarcadia came from Jade of the IPC’s Ten Stonehearts. She pointed out that the planet’s Phantasmoon was entering its full phase once again, a rare event that signals the start of the legendary grand games.

Beyond logistics, the trip also serves as a deeply personal journey for Himeko. Planarcadia is the historic site where she first discovered and repaired the abandoned Astral Express years ago. With the moon waxing full and the world thriving once more, it was time for Himeko to return to the place she considers her homeland.

While Edo Star remains a closed-off mystery for now, the Trailblaze continues on Planarcadia.

Titled “Phaidei Project: In Another Life”, this international fan project explores Phainon x Mydei across three alternate universes (3 AUs), reimagined by 18 artists from 7 countries.

It’s a full-scale celebration of Phaidei — complete with a fan cafe, international merch preorders, a Photoframe Event, LED banner advertising, and even a Comifuro 22 appearance.

In Another Life is a fan-for-fan project centered on Phainon x Mydei, exploring their alternate lives after Amphoreus.

Confirmed Honkai Star Rail characters coming to Fortnite

Two familiar faces from the Stellaron Hunters have been confirmed:

Both characters originate from the Stellaron Hunters, a secretive group that operates beyond conventional power structures in Honkai Star Rail’s universe.

Kafka, calm and calculating, hails from a world untouched by fear, moving through the galaxy with an unsettling mix of elegance and danger.

Blade, a silent swordsman bound in crimson bandages, is cursed with immortality — his body endlessly regenerating from wounds that never fully heal. Beneath his restrained demeanor lies a force shaped by pain, memory, and a past that refuses to let go.

All Honkai Star Rail x Fortnite exclusive rewards

The Honkai Star Rail x Fortnite collaboration introduces Kafka and Blade Outfits to the Fortnite Item Shop, both compatible with LEGO Styles.

Players will also be able to obtain additional cosmetic items, including Back Bling and Pickaxes, along with crossover content designed specifically for LEGO Fortnite. The “Stellaron Hunter Kafka” and “Stellaron Hunter Blade” Outfits officially become available on February 26.
