Thailand has long been a hotbed for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, with a passionate player base and a rich competitive history.

In 2026, the scene is set to level up as Moonton unveils MSL Thailand, a new league designed to empower creators, engage the community, and bring Thailand back into the global MLBB esports ecosystem.

Moonton’s strategy in Thailand goes beyond competition. Partnering with Viratsan “GuyNgid” Ariyawongpisal, one of the country’s most influential mobile gaming figures, the company is investing in content creation and community programs tailored to local players.

With over nine million followers across social platforms, GuyNgid will serve as a regional strategy partner, guiding campaigns, contests, and long-term initiatives for creators.

MSL Thailand also includes more than THB20,000,000 in incentives for Thailand’s creator community, covering contests, TikTok programs, and KOL partnerships. These efforts aim to strengthen local engagement while laying the groundwork for sustainable growth in the region.

MSL Thailand will feature eight invited teams:

  • FULL SENSE
  • Bacon Time
  • Buriram United Esports
  • SOLYX
  • eArena
  • Tenacity
  • Hydra
  • King of Gamers Club

The league brings Thailand’s teams and talent back into MLBB’s global competitive framework, reconnecting the country with international tournaments and spotlighting emerging stars.

Thailand has a strong esports legacy, having hosted multiple international events and featured MLBB as a gold medal game at the SEA Games.

Mobile Legends was most recently showcased as a medalled esport at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, hosted in Thailand from 9–20 December 2025 across Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla. The event marked a major competitive moment for MLBB in the country, coming just ahead of the launch of MSL Thailand.

Thailand’s competitive MLBB roots go back even further. In 2017, Thai powerhouse IDONOTSLEEP (IDNS) claimed victory at the inaugural MLBB Southeast Asia Cup—now known as the Mid Season Cup (MSC)—establishing Thailand as an early force in the regional scene.

The launch of MSL Thailand continues that trajectory, aiming to cultivate the next generation of Thai esports contenders.
