Developed by Marvel Games and NetEase Games, Marvel Rivals has quickly established itself as a standout team-based PVP shooter, blending hero-driven combat with destructible environments pulled from across the Marvel Multiverse. Season 6 pushes that vision further with meaningful gameplay additions and quality-of-life upgrades.
Deadpool debuts in Marvel Rivals as a triple-role hero
- Deadpool can switch roles
- Teams are restricted to one Deadpool for balance
- New chaotic-themed rewards and accessories added

The biggest addition in Season 6 is Deadpool, who officially joins the roster as a triple-role hero — Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist.
Unlike traditional role-locked characters, Deadpool can flex between different playstyles, giving teams more strategic options depending on composition and mode.
To keep matches balanced, Quick and Competitive modes will limit each team to a single Deadpool. This ensures his versatility doesn’t overwhelm coordinated play while still letting players explore his full kit.
Deadpool’s arrival also comes with new cosmetic rewards and accessories, reinforcing his chaotic personality while expanding customization options across the roster.
Marvel Rivals Season 6 introduces new progression rewards and accessories
- Higher hero progression unlocks more rewards
- New accessories for heroes debut
- College students get exclusive items

Marvel Rivals Season 6 raises the progression cap for heroes, adding more incentives for long-term play.
Players can earn a wider range of rewards, including Units, Unstable Molecules, Nameplates, Titles, Nameplate Frames, Badges, and Dynamic Avatars.
A new wave of character accessories is also launching this season, featuring heroes such as Deadpool, Rogue, Doctor Strange, Mister Fantastic, Squirrel Girl, Iron Man, Captain America, Daredevil, Black Panther, and Storm. These accessories will roll out with the Season 6 update and further personalize each hero’s look.
Verified college students will also receive special benefits this season. By confirming their student status with an education email, university players can access a rotating selection of 10 exclusive costumes and MVPs.
Marvel Rivals Season 6: New map arrives mid-season
- New convoy-style map, Museum of Contemplation
- Times Square gets Photo Mode for in-game snapshots

Season 6 expands Marvel Rivals’ map lineup with a new convoy-style map, Museum of Contemplation, arriving as part of the January 29 update. The map fits the season’s theme while introducing new environmental layouts and objectives designed around movement and map control.
Times Square is also getting a major update. A new Photo Mode allows players to freely adjust camera angles, apply filters, and capture in-game moments. This feature turns Times Square into a social hub where players can showcase their heroes beyond combat.
The Clobberin’ Club brings duels to Times Square
Also launching on January 29 is a brand-new Times Square area called The Clobberin’ Club. This space introduces dedicated duel challenges, letting players test their skills in one-on-one matchups.
For a small cost in Units, duel matches can even be broadcast live on the massive screens throughout Times Square, adding a spectator element and making public challenges part of the experience.
Expanded rewards for the Marvel Rivals Championship
- Championship rewards now reach more players, not just top factions
- Nameplates and Sprays added for active participants
- Emblems redesigned and permanently saved for long-term recognition
Season 6 also enhances the Marvel Rivals Championship with broader and more inclusive rewards. While top-performing factions will continue to earn cash prizes, players across more ranking tiers can now earn Units that are distributed among all faction members.
Additional rewards include Nameplates and Sprays for factions that reach Open Qualifiers and actively participate.
Championship Nameplate Emblems have also been redesigned to represent more rankings and will now be permanently saved, giving competitive players long-term recognition for their achievements.
