Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG) launches its third season, Cosmic Traders, on August 20, 2025.
Magic Chess season 3 introduces the game’s most significant competitive and cosmetic update ever., featuring a comprehensive rework of hero synergies, a dynamic new auction system, an expanded ranking structure, and the announcement of MCGG’s inaugural global tournament.
New synergies and cosmetic Integration
Magic Chess Season 3 introduces five all-new synergies: Aspirants, Metro Zero, Luminexus, Starwing, and Shadowcell. These new alignments replace the original lineup, injecting fresh tactical depth and unique effects into the battlefield.

Crucially, the season integrates popular Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) aesthetics through the Aspirants and Metro Zero hero skins. Players who utilize the corresponding new synergies will unlock these anime-inspired and futuristic skins for free, bridging the two gaming IPs.
Gao “Skyhook” Chong, MCGG Producer at Moonton Games, noted that the goal of the season is to “keep things fun for players while giving them deeper strategic choices to explore.”
“By integrating Aspirants and Metro Zero into the MCGG universe, we’re bringing fan-favourite MLBB elements to bridge both gaming IPs,” he stated.
The Go Go Auction System in Magic Chess Season 3

A key feature of the “Cosmic Traders” update is the introduction of the Go Go Auction, a revamped mechanic that replaces the initial stage of the classic Go Go Box.
In the Auction Arena, eight items offering crucial power-ups will be available for bidding. The system introduces an element of strategic risk, allowing opponents up to three chances to outbid a player during the countdown.
Alternatively, players can spend 20 Gold to secure absolute ownership instantly. Players must choose wisely, as they are limited to owning only one item per auction. This system aims to intensify the early-game competitive strategy.
Expanding the competitive ecosystem

Magic Chess Season 3 significantly elevates the game’s competitive structure. A new commander ranking system will allow players to compete across a hierarchical leaderboard spanning districts, cities, provinces, countries, and ultimately, the world.
Furthermore, the season will host the game’s first-ever global tournament. This initiative underscores Moonton Games’ commitment to creating a more inclusive and player-focused competitive environment, offering all players a chance to achieve global stardom. Full details for the tournament are expected at a later date.
“Our upcoming global tournament is a huge milestone in evolving MCGG’s competitive ecosystem,” Skyhook added. “We’re focused on creating more ways for players to engage with the game while building a structure that supports community growth. This tournament reflects our commitment to making MCGG not just a game, but a thriving, connected, and competitive universe.”
