How to get Layla Blue Spectre skin is one of the biggest questions surrounding Magic Chess: Go Go’s first anniversary celebration, and the answer is surprisingly simple.
As part of the game’s Season 6: Dawnlight Celebration campaign, players can unlock the iconic skin completely free through a limited-time anniversary event packed with rewards.
Developer Moonton is marking one year since Magic Chess: Go Go’s global launch with a month-long celebration dedicated to the community that helped turn the title into one of mobile gaming’s fastest-growing auto battlers.

Alongside a redesigned version of Layla’s classic Blue Spectre skin, players can also earn exclusive cosmetics, anniversary collectibles, free chessboards, and compete for a share of a US$50,000 prize pool.
How to get Layla Blue Spectre skin for free
Available now through Saturday, June 21, 2026, the Layla Blue Spectre Magic Chess: Go Go skin serves as the centerpiece of the anniversary campaign.
The skin is a reimagined version of one of the earliest and rarest skins associated with Layla, making its return particularly significant for longtime Mobile Legends: Bang Bang fans.

To get the skin for free, players must participate in the Rainbow Flash event and complete event missions to earn special anniversary items. These items can then be exchanged for anniversary letters tied to the game’s roster of heroes.
Players who collect anniversary letters from all 36 heroes will unlock the event’s full reward lineup, including:
- Layla Blue Spectre MCGG skin
- Layla Blue Spectre painted skin
- First anniversary commemorative emote
- Anniversary album collectible
Why the Layla Blue Spectre skin is so special

Originally released during the early years of MLBB, Blue Spectre quickly became one of Layla’s most recognizable skins thanks to its distinctive blue-and-black color scheme and limited availability.
Unlike many modern skins that regularly return through events or shop rotations, Blue Spectre spent long periods unavailable, making it a rare sight in matches and a nostalgic favorite among veteran players.
For many longtime MLBB fans, the skin represents a piece of the game’s early history, dating back to a period when cosmetic collections were significantly smaller and certain skins were much harder to obtain.

Its reputation as one of Layla’s classic legacy skins has only grown over time as newer players have had fewer opportunities to add it to their collections.
The version featured in Magic Chess: Go Go’s first anniversary event is a redesigned adaptation created specifically for MCGG, serving as both a tribute to the original skin and a celebration of the community that helped the game reach its first major milestone.
Free anniversary chessboards arrive in June
The celebrations continue with the Anniversary Cake Chessboard event, which runs from Wednesday, June 10, 2026, through Sunday, June 21, 2026.

The event features a card-flipping mini-game where players advance by matching cards across four stages.
Completing the event allows players to claim one of four exclusive anniversary-themed chessboards designed specifically to commemorate Magic Chess: Go Go’s first year.
The limited-edition boards add a festive anniversary aesthetic to matches and represent another free reward available during the Season 6 festivities.
MCGG Rising Star Crew Clash offers US$50,000 prize pool

Beyond cosmetic rewards, Magic Chess: Go Go is also expanding its competitive ecosystem with the launch of MCGG Rising Star (MRS) Crew Clash.
The upgraded competition encourages players to form or join Crews and work together to complete missions, earn points, and climb the leaderboard.
The highest-performing Crews will compete for a share of the event’s US$50,000 prize pool.
The initiative reflects Moonton’s continued efforts to strengthen the social and competitive aspects of the game as it enters its second year.
A breakout first year for Magic Chess: Go Go

The anniversary campaign arrives after a landmark first year for Magic Chess: Go Go.
Following its global launch in May 2025, the title surpassed 30 million downloads within its first two weeks and went on to receive Google Play’s Best Game Award 2025 across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
The game also secured its first crossover collaboration with The King of Fighters, bringing characters from the legendary fighting game franchise into the Magic Chess: Go Go universe.

Its esports scene has expanded just as quickly. Earlier this year, the inaugural GO1 World Championship attracted a peak concurrent viewership of 290,546, a figure that helped establish Magic Chess: Go Go as one of the fastest-growing esports titles in the mobile gaming space.
The game’s momentum extended beyond esports as well. In December 2025, Magic Chess: Go Go became the first mobile auto chess title featured at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, marking another milestone in its rapid growth.
According to producer Gao “Skyhook” Chong, the anniversary campaign was designed to reward the players who helped shape Magic Chess: Go Go’s first year.
The focus on free rewards, community activities, and Crew-based competition reflects the studio’s broader vision of creating meaningful player connections alongside competitive gameplay.
