  • Team Spirit
  • CyberHero

Established titans return with renewed firepower

Defending champions Team Spirit enter MCC Season 7 chasing history, aiming to extend their unprecedented streak as the first MLBB Esports team to secure six consecutive league titles.

Their dominance has not been limited to regional play, with back-to-back top-four finishes at the M5 and M6 World Championships reinforcing their global pedigree.

This season, the squad strengthens further with the addition of jungler Zaur “zaur egoist” Magomadov, adding a new dimension to an already seasoned core.

Longtime rivals Virtus.pro stand as one of the biggest threats. The two-time runners-up made headlines internationally after winning the MSC at EWC 25 Wild Card on debut.

Now, with Maxim “Nagib” Dudich joining as roamer and Sergey “Marl” Finashev as jungler, Virtus.pro look revitalised in their pursuit of a long-awaited league title.

New challengers shake up the battlefield

MCC Season 7 also welcomes two new contenders that could disrupt the established hierarchy.

  • Team Yandex, backed by one of the region’s largest technology organizations, enters the league with strong expectations.
  • Aura Farmers secure their place through qualification from Team Spirit Academy Black, representing the growing strength of grassroots and academy systems within the region.

According to Ajay Jilka, Head of Esports for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Türkiye, and Western Europe at Moonton, the evolving competitive field reflects deeper ecosystem development.

He emphasised that the rise of academy-backed teams like Aura Farmers signals meaningful progress in talent cultivation, driven by community and third-party tournaments.

EECA continues to stand out as one of the most active MLBB esports ecosystems globally. In 2025 alone, more than US$400,000 in prize pools were distributed across third-party competitions, reinforcing a sustainable pipeline for emerging talent and elevating the region’s global competitiveness.

Beyond the regional title, MCC Season 7 carries significant international implications. Both the champion and runner-up will qualify to represent EECA at MSC during the EWC 2026, where a massive US$3 million prize pool awaits.
