The enforcement action focused on the operators behind “Senpai Mod” and its upstream supplier “NUI Mod,” effectively disrupting both the distribution and production layers of cheat software.

This dual-layer takedown is a rare achievement in anti-cheat enforcement and highlights the growing importance of collaboration between game developers and law enforcement.

The case traces back to player reports flagging suspicious activity in ranked matches.

Acting on these concerns, Moonton Games initiated an investigation in September 2023, working closely with authorities to conduct technical monitoring and gather intelligence on the networks involved.

Over time, the investigation uncovered that “Senpai Mod” functioned not just as a distributor, but also as a reseller of cheat software tailored specifically for competitive play.

These tools granted users unfair advantages, including map hacks and drone-style vision, significantly undermining match integrity and the overall player experience.

Moonton’s internal enforcement efforts over the past year have already led to several thousand MLBB accounts being penalized for using cheats linked to Senpai Mod. These actions reflect the company’s ongoing push to curb unfair gameplay and maintain competitive balance.

As the case escalated, Moonton collaborated closely with the Central Java Regional Police’s Directorate of Cyber Crimes.

Their involvement proved critical in identifying the individuals behind the operation and advancing the case toward legal enforcement.

The joint effort ultimately resulted in decisive legal action against these Mobile Legends cheaters. Those involved in operations have formally agreed to immediately cease all development, sale, and distribution of cheat software, as well as permanently shut down all related websites and social media channels.

Investigators also revealed that while the cheat tools were primarily marketed in Indonesia, their reach extended across Southeast Asia, with transaction records pointing to a potentially global customer base.

Moonton Games expressed its appreciation for the Central Java Regional Police, whose support ensured the case was resolved through proper legal channels.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the competitive integrity of MLBB by continuing to strengthen both its anti-cheat technologies and legal enforcement strategies.

For players, the message is clear: fair play remains non-negotiable—and the fight against cheating is far from over.
